How Tariffs Changed Bambu Lab Prices in 2025 and 2026
If you have been watching Bambu Lab prices in the US over the last two years, you have seen them move a lot. Most of that comes back to US tariffs on goods made in China, where Bambu builds its printers. Here is what happened from February 2025 to now, and what prices look like on November 3, 2026.
February 2025: The First Bump
In early February 2025, after the US added a 10% tariff on Chinese goods, Bambu raised hardware prices on its US store by about 3%, according to All3DP. It was a small change, but it was the first sign of what was coming.
April 2025: Big Jumps
In April, tariffs on Chinese goods reached 145%, and prices went up fast. The H2D is the clearest example. It launched on March 25, 2025 at $1,899 for the base printer. By April 21, Tom’s Hardware reported it was listed at $2,399, and the 40W laser version had climbed to $4,399.
May 15, 2025: A Partial Cut
After the US and China agreed to lower tariffs, Bambu announced on its forum that it was “passing along significant savings across our entire collection,” with new prices taking effect May 15, 2025 at 5 PM Pacific. Users in that thread also shared that Bambu offered gift cards for the difference on some recent printer and AMS orders. Not everyone was happy, though. Users pointed out that some prices did not go all the way back down. For example, the P1S was $649 before the tariffs and $699 after the cut.
Late 2025: New Printers Held Back
The P2S launched in October 2025 everywhere except the US. Bambu said on X that it was “running into some logistics delays,” and Tom’s Hardware connected that to the extra 100% tariff on China announced on October 10. The P2S finally went on sale in the US around November 27, 2025, at its planned $549, or $799 for the Combo. The H2C followed the same pattern. It launched at Formnext on November 18, 2025 starting at $2,399 with an AMS 2 Pro, but US buyers were told to wait until December.
April 2026: Refunds, but Not for Buyers
In February 2026, the US Supreme Court struck down the tariffs that had been imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). On April 20, 2026, US Customs and Border Protection opened a system to refund them, as Reuters reported. Those refunds go to importers, the companies that actually paid the duties, not to the people who bought products from them.
On the Bambu forum, users asked whether Bambu would pass any of that money back. One user posted the reply they got from Bambu Lab Customer Support: “Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund or store credit regarding the tariff matter.” We have not seen any public statement from Bambu that changes that answer. As another user pointed out, Bambu never added tariffs as a simple percentage on top of its prices, so there is no easy way to work out what any one buyer paid in tariffs.
Where Prices Are Today
Prices today are well below the 2025 peak, helped by Bambu’s Black Friday sale, which runs from October 27 to December 1, 2026. Here is what Bambu’s US store lists on November 3:
- A1 mini: $199
- A1: $259, or $359 for the Combo
- P2S: $449, or $649 for the Combo (normally $749)
- X2D: $589, or $789 for the Combo (normally $899)
- H2S: $1,049, or $1,249 for the AMS Combo
- H2D: $1,399, or $1,599 for the AMS Combo
- H2C AMS Combo: $1,899 (normally $2,199)
To put that in perspective, the base H2D that hit $2,399 in April 2025 is $1,399 today, $500 less than its original launch price. Even the normal P2S Combo price on the store ($749) is now lower than its $799 launch price. If you are deciding between models, our posts on the X1 Carbon, X2D and P2S and on which AMS to buy can help.
What This Means for You
If you held off buying during the tariff spikes, this is a much better time to buy. Bambu’s US store also offers 30-day price protection, so if the price drops again within 30 days of your order, you can ask for the difference. Just keep in mind that tariff rules can change again, and Bambu has shown that it will delay new printers in the US when they do. The new H3C launched today at $2,499, and we will keep an eye on whether US pricing for future printers holds.
All in all, the tariff roller coaster of 2025 cost a lot of early buyers extra money, and it does not look like any of it is coming back to customers. The good news is that prices have settled well below where they started, and with the Black Friday sale running until December 1st, it is a good time to pick up a printer.
